. Saturday, June 20, 2009

Hey guys I found this to be an awesome thing that I found on searching.

How to gain your Reservable Bandwidth?

>>What is Reservable Bandwidth?

Whenever you install a Microsoft operating system on your computer Microsoft reserves 20% of your available bandwidth for their own utilities like windows updates and interrogating your computer.

You might think that this is fine so why to recover this, but the truth is that most of us use the pirated version of the product so even if you are recommended by windows to update any of its products it happens so that you can download the package but during installation your computer is checked for genuine Microsoft product. So the result is that your installation fails. Even if you use a genuine Microsoft product you can limit your bandwidth to 8-10% rather than the default 20%.

This helps in speeding up your internet as you get some extra bandwidth

Do the following to gain your Reservable Bandwidth:

>>Click start

>>Then go to run

>>Type 'gpedit.msc' and hit enter

>>You will reach to the 'Group Policy Editor'

>>Look for 'Local Computer Policy'

>>Double click on 'Local Computer Policy'

>>Look for 'Computer Configuration'

>>Double click on 'Computer Configuration'

>>Look for 'Administrative Template'

>>Double Click on 'Administrative Template'

>>Look for 'Network'

>>Double click on 'Network'

>>Look for 'QOS Packet Scheduler'

>>Double click on 'QOS Packet Scheduler'

>>In the Right pane look for 'Limit Reservable Bandwidth'

>>Double click on 'Limit Reservable Bandwidth'

>>This will open a new dialogue box of 'Limit Reservable Bandwidth'

>>Go to 'Setting' tab

>>Click on 'Enable'

>>Set 'Bandwidth' to 0%

>>Click on 'Apply' at the right bottom

there you go!!!!!

the next time you use your internet find the difference for your self.
