If you want to get the best out of your computer keep it clean and tidy. The Disk Cleanup frees up space on your hard disk by identifying files that can be safely deleted, and then prompts you to choose whether you want to delete some or all of the identified files.
Use Disk Cleanup to:
*Remove temporary Internet files
*Remove downloaded program files (Microsoft ActiveX controls and Java applets)
*Empty the Recycle Bin
*Remove Windows temporary files
*Remove optional Windows components that you don't use
*Remove installed programs that you no longer use
To use Disk Cleanup:
>>Click Start
>>Point to All Programs
>>Go to Accessories
>>Point to System Tools
>>Then click Disk Cleanup
>>This will open a Disk Cleanup dialog box, scroll through the content of the 'Files to delete' list
>>Check for the content that you don't want to delete and untick the boxes and then click OK
>>When prompted to confirm that you want to delete the specified files, click Yes
The Disk Cleanup box will close after the process enhancing your computers performance
